I also dont like arabic numbers on my watches if batons are available in a the model i am buying
then i will usually go for batons, I have a white dial SA with batons and love it!!.

I'm looking to buy my first Ling and have decided on the SA. I'm just wondering if the ones with the baton markers are older/discountinued models? The particular version I want is the pure black dial one with the baton markers but the ADs I've been to don't seem to stock this. They instead only stock the black with the Arabic numbers but I'm not too keen on this as for some reason the dial looks more like navy blue than black. Also the dial looks cleaner with baton markers imo. |

The SA used to be only offered with arabics, then batons were introduced a couple of years ago and you had the option of either version. |

I have a Batons version and love it. I also dont like arabic numbers on any watch. The black dials of the two are the same though I thought. The black dial SA is a very popular watch so that is maybe why a lot of dealers dont have them sitting around in stock. Its a lot of watch for the money. Especially if you can get a good discount. Trying sending jnelson a pm with contact info for an AD in the USA. |

I prefer the numbers, but think it is great the Breitling gives the option for the batons as well. The numbers give the watch more of a tool look, while the batons tend to make it look more like a dress watch IMO. |

The choice is made easier if you go for the Blacksteel version which looks stunning with the stencil numbers.

Visited my AD today to have a look at them in the flesh. Pictures really do not do this watch any justice. really does look stunning in the flesh, and a lot bigger than I imagined it to be... or maybe I just have small wrists lol Any more pics guys? |
