Just got email from AD who met with BUSA rep today. Breitling has a new LE coming out - an Avenger with black dial/black subs, yellow inner bezel ring and yellow sub dial hands. Called Avenger "Code Yellow." No pics yet. Now my first thought was - "can a rubber bezel be far behind?" but that is just too cynical for a Friday afternoon. I'll wait to see some pics. Retail $4550. There is a chance this could be an amazingly cool watch......or a complete bust. |

Interesting. Cannot wait to see it. On another slighty askew note: anyone remember when some of us kicked around an idea or two, when we wanted to ask Breitling to make up something sort of like this? Colors were discussed and ultimately, we decided that it was not wrth the issues it presented? (and if I recall, some of you commissioned another company to do something...I missed out due to my contract to play in a rather large sandbox...) |

If my AD is correct this watch comes at a $1000 premium!

According to the price list that I have it's only $270 more than the regular Avenger, but they are only making 2000 of them, 1000 brushed and 1000 polished. I was interesting in getting this watch, but since it's an LE I couldn't get much of a discount and that kind of did it for me. I think it's pretty cool looking, just a bit different from the regular Avenger, but I like the yellow on the sub hands, the tip of the second hand and the numbers around the outside of the dial. |

Ha, as discussed in the other thread we should buy them @ a discount and sell them for an unwarranted +$1000 on eBay. Seriously though, I think this would look awesome on a yellow stitching black hornback ala the AP EOD. |
