I picked up a Emergency Mission this weekend. Is it a Full Ling watch? Just uploaded Photobucket so pics to come.

If you want to follow the "guideline" for a Full Ling on the forum, it is not a Full Ling. It is 1 mm too small in diameter ant the lug width lacks 2 mm. Furthermore, but here I'm not certain, I believe a Full one has to be automatic rather than a quartz (even if the Superquartz is very nice).

Ebone,

It would normally be a 3/4 Ling but due to it's thickness it would qualify for 7/8 of a Ling if it was automatic. Unfortunately a battery Ling is in another territory altogether but they still look really cool.

Does it matter?

This is the only place I've ever heard the 'Ling' terminology mentioned.

I think the full ling and half ling thing is funny, I checkout the ones that I like and go with that. Just happens my next one will be a Super Avenger with black dail. I am a fan of big watches. My Squadron Aerospace should be here this month been waiting since Oct. I will post pics of both soon.

Ebone,

The SA is definitely the way to go. Naviman and I have decided that when you get right down to it the SA is really the only FULL LING. I had my Bentley Motors for 8 months before I got the SA and I still love my Bentley but after wearing the SA if I wear my Bentley for a day or 2 I need to get back to the SA. It's just the most satisfying LING ever made.
