One sold recently on a well-known auction site for about US$5800 (black dial, black leather). I don't know what it retailed for. |

There's one on here for $8550. Can't vouch for the authenticity though. http://www.luxuryguru.com/breit-inv.htm The $40k Mulliner on there is something else! ![]() |

This watch from "lwatch guru" is also on ebay. Notice the documentation shows the watch was purchased 02/03/2000. This watch was produced in 2003!!!! Something doesn't add up here. I have found several Bentley le mans, all in the $ 6000.00 range. |

If you had a $6000 watch, would you sell it for $3500? If it sounds too good to be true... I would ask for some very specific high-quality pictures if your're truly interested in buying. And for that amount of money, I would probably seek local pick-up at a jeweler. Or at the very least, a certificate of authenticity from a local jeweler. If he balks at any of those requests, just walk away. If you're at all uneasy, don't buy. Keep your money in your pocket and wait to be 100% sure. |

I actually think at least some of his watches are real, which might be even more scary - I'm thinking they may be a little warm to the touch..... |

I took another look at the watch from watch guru. The model number on the back of the case is correct, the limited number/1000 seems reasonable, and the serial number seems reasonable. When I contacted him a few weeks ago, he told me there was no COSC certificate, and didn't comment on a limited number certifcate, manual, slide rule, etc., although he says with box and papers. This watch if authentic would have been made in 2003. This being the case, the watch is certainly not worth $8K, but at $3.5K it may be Ok . It certainly has no collector value, other than it being a Breitling for Bentley Le Mans. You'll be hard pressed to find a Bentley for $3.5K, and lets face it, it looks good. It is a large watch (around 48mm), and the scratches visible certainly won't detract from a $3500.00 value. In my opinion, all numbers, dials and overall dial graphics are correct. Good luck. |
