I have a polished titanium ring. Highly polished titanium looks really nice. It has this sort of deep black steel appearance. Don't know why there aren't many watches like that. Perhaps because titanium scratches easier? I dunno.

Titanium can be many different colors... but it usually comes in a blasted or satin finish... why? I'm not sure. Just about every single custom knife i own has a few peices of Titanium in it... usually they're annodized one color or another.

If you take a look at this custom Gibo-Zakabi folder, you can see the color that Titanium can be if you want.. this is a Polish over top of a deep brushed finish.. so it has a polished and brushed look at the same time... it is quite indistinguishable from steel as far as color is concerned:

OK,

Have you ever noticed that when an amateur actor or sports figure is showing potential to be great you will hear statements like these below ?

"He is a fine young actor and as soon as he "POLISHES" his skills he will be great"

OR

"He is a great young golfer, as soon as he becomes a "POLISHED" shot maker he will be a champion"

You don't hear them saying "as soon as his shot making abilities become "BRUSHED" or "DULL" he will be great.

Why? because POLISH is the finishing touch that makes both humans and Lings great.

I am available to offer further counseling if necessary. Always dedicated to the rehabilitation of degraded Lings.

But I have heard "he is a natural"......thats enough for me.....what is the natural finish of Ti......dull or shiney?

Nah...the blingiest I want to go is natural....and I don't mean the finish of diamonds  Hell I don't even like PVD finishes on watches, give me the "colour and texture" of the metal, the real quality of the material, the heart of the machine...oh yeah......

Best regards David
