Does anyone have any idea why my ASBS changes date @ 3:45am all of a sudden? Sent it to breitling yesterday. Any idea what went wrong? Thanks!

Was it 3:45am for every day of the month or only some?

I dunno, I just noticed it yesterday while fixing the time. I decided to send it to BUSA anyway before the warranty expires.

Have you used the quick set date between 9pm and 3am? If it has suddenly started then it's likely a bent tooth or two in the date change wheel.

Maybe I did. I don't really remember. I sent the watch to BUSA anyway. The watch is still under warranty until Nov.28 2010. So might as well use it before it expires.

As long as they cover it. Technically user created problems are not covered under warranty.

How much do you think will that cost me incase they don't cover it? But I think they'll cover it.....it's hard to prove that I was the one that caused it.

Not really. A broken or bent tooth on the date wheel can really only happen if youve forced the date. Im not saying that they wont cover it, only that they can certainly deny it if that is the case.

If the date is changing at 3:45 every day, its definitely not your fault, and all theyll need to do is remove and re-set the hands.

.

Yep - easiest thing in the world to prove.

Cost shouldn't be too bad if they charge you, but there will also be some service costs - $250 - $300 or so.

As RJRJRJ says, if it does it on every day then it's easy and not your fault, but it would be an odd thing to suddenly happen.
