Post subject: | My 1st Breitling |
Hi Everyone, I am new to this website and wanted to show you my new Breitling Cosmonaute, this is the first 'expensive' watch that i have brought and wanted to see if it is a good purchase... I brought the watch off of my mate who brought it in 2003 and has been serviced once in 2007, the face is a smaller 41mm diameter to the navitimer and the watch has a automatic movement with a model number A22322. I do not know alot about movements and stuff like this so dont really know what this means so any feedback/ information would be greatfull such as Do i need to wind it? Feel free to comment Thanks Mike.. |

Welcome to BretilingSource. It's the current model Cosmonaute which is pretty much unchanged since it was introduced in 2002. The movement is unusual for Breitlings as one of the few models that they have produced (and certainly the longest running production) with the flyback chronograph complication (you don't have to stop the chronograph to reset it). The movement is based on the ETA 2892-A2 movement that is one of the two most common base movements for Breitling alongside the Valjoux 7750. There's a very good history of watches carrying hte Cosmonaute name here - http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=4034 |

The watch is automatic and will stay wound from the movement of your wrist as lonjg as you wear it everyday. Not an expert on UK pricing, but that doesn't sound bad. |

Looks like they're going for £2-2,500 equivalent in US$ on the bay. So, you got a good deal. |
