Warning.....Typical newbie question alert... ![]() I recently acquired a lovely 81970, the predecessor to the Antares, which was under warranty, as the previous owner had it fully serviced by Breitling about 11 months previously. I sold the watch (on e-bay), but the buyer reported that the Calendar wheel had developed a fault (turning/changing when crown was loosened). I expect the buyer had tried to change the date with the time too close to 12, which I've heard can cause problems ![]() Anyway, I refunded the guy, got the watch back, and I sent it to Breitling UK, via Goldsmiths. They took a while, but successfully sorted the issue. Goldsmiths have told me that as Breitling will have performed various bench tests before returning the watch, in effect I have a further 12 months warranty for any mechanical issues that might arise. Is this correct? Obviously, if the crown/Calendar issue happened again, I'd be covered. But would it be fair for me to inform any potential buyer that he'd be covered by Goldsmith's 1 year repair warranty for any mechanical issue? ![]() Any advice would be gratefully received. ![]() Cheers |

Correct, you get a 12 month warranty following the service. A nice feature for future owners when you are planning to sell the watch. |

As kosm1o says, always a 12 month warranty after servicing. Tell the next buyer to read the freaking manual ![]() ![]() |
