I am letting this go today. I was curious though about the background on this model if any one knows.
It is a very small series of 100 pieces made. it does not really commemorate anything.
Any answers on why Breitling made it and why only 100? did they have some extra cases and GMT movements laying around???

it is cool none the less.

BTW, just curious what any ones thoughts are on value....(did i make a good deal :? )

Last one I saw purchased was from forum member Dhalem (from eBay) and he paid $1650 USD. There have been a few on TZ but most are asking astronomical prices, I think the sellers there are trying to "cash in" in the Limited Ed aspect and hoping for an unknowing buyer. I have seen them listed for prices up to $3500 on TZ, but most sellers dont update thier posts to say if their watches have sold, so who knows if they did sell.

I have been looking for one of these (kinda passively) and was intending to bid on the one that Dhalem bought but I forgot about the close time of the eBay auction. If you are inclined to sell it for an amount close to the one Dhalem bought, I would be interested.

Guys,
I am bummed, i should have posted on Breitling Source first. To be honest, i did not plan to sell but someone who knew i had it contacted me and made me an offer. Seemed easy and he caught me at the right time.
It is not going to a "breitling collector" but a good guy.
i wont say any more about the cost so no one gets upset...

next time i will post!!

Excellent watch. I'm sorry that you let it go. Mine has been at the BUSA 'spa' for six, LONG weeks now and I really miss having it. The true white face and GMT function make it the Steelfish in a tuxedo, IMO.

 I think there were a couple of us with our eyes on that one. I forgot to bid too. Its probably for the better since we would have driven up the price and one of use would have gotten screwed.

Yeah I remember the "after" conversation, now! The problem is that there are a lot of loose lips around here temping more than just one of us WIS. :)

Yup, that's one of the reasons I sold it. And IMHO, the steelfish wears pretty small.
