Post subject:  Dial Defect on New Steelfish
Just received my Steelfish from George @ Govberg last week and I'm impressed with the service and ease of buying from George.

Just one "issue" though, which I noticed on the second day. The "6" on the dial seemed misaligned. Not sure if it's an "issue" or not as I've seen this misalignment on some of the steelfish for sale. However, on the breitling site the 6 is perfectly centered and there were others out there too.

Who should I contact, George or BUSA?

I would say thats definently out and perfectly obvious(if you're looking for it). I would give George a quick call first of all and go from there!

It appears off. Today on another forum someone posted new pictures of their new Super Ocean.

Does the 6 look in the same place as yours? Is the image you captured from the Breitling site a rendered drawing?

I have a steelfish and am looking at it right now, the 6 is bang on centred, yours definetly looks skewed to the left.

I honestly cannot see it. I looked and just cannot see a problem with your 6.

In saying that I was not happy with a recent purchase, spoke with the AD and all is now good.

Give George a call. I hope it works out for you.

I've been looking at lots of pictures of steelfish on this site, and most of them have the 6 aligned like this, so I don't know if it's actually an issue. BTW, the pics that knapplink posted are of mine that I received today - I'm loving it.

And this is the black dial wristie by JasonBellevue. Does it look like '6 is more on the left? Is this "flaw" characteristic for the black version only?

Personally, I wouldn't mind.

I just received a new white dial fish two weeks ago and my six looks just like the OP's. It was ordered straight from the factory and the born on date between the lugs says it's only a few months old. It appears that most that have this dial are newer ones. It doesn't bother me one bit.
