hello i have a SO and i think the power reserve is 40 hours? how accurate is that? i seem to be getting significantly less like close to 30 hours. maybe thats normal? ive only left the watch idle a few times, but just this weekend i left it for about 27 hours give or take. i then wore the watch for about 1-2 hours and left it sitting from about 7pm until the next morning. when i went to put it on it had stopped at about 0630. did i maybe not wear it long enough to get a full power reserve? am i using the correct terminology? :)

i dont have a winder, maybe i should look into one? i wear it pretty much everyday but there will be times when i want to leave it at home.

thanks!

Power reserve is 42 hours, although that will reduce if the watch is in need of a service.

The best way to find out how much reserve you are getting is to fully wind the watch (40 turns of the crown) and then leave it sitting to see how long it runs for. That will tell you if the reserve is the problem.

If that's OK then it's possible that the watch is not getting enough activity while you wear it to keep it wound. That's unlikely if you wear it every day, but possible. It's also possible that there is a problem with the rotor winding.

No need for a watchwinder if you only have the one - just wind the crown a few times if your activity level isn't keeping it fully wound.

thank you sir, maybe ill do a little test on it. the watch is new, i got it in jan. and since im pretty sure im getting close to 30 hours, it could just be related to how active i am before i set it down. in other words, if i set it down to sleep, thats probably 6-8 hours, then only wear it for a few hours before leaving it for a day, then it makes sense.
