Hi, just bought my first Breitling and think i got a very nice watch. The BENTLEY GT. Just have some questions.
1. I got it for $6,500. Is that a good price?

2.In 2009, the Breitling for Bentley GT was updated with a new Diamond pattern on the inner dial. I can't figure it out from the pic posted here if mine is post 2009. Does anyone have a pic so i can see this please?

3.Which direction(Clockwise, counter) would be best on my Watch Winder for the B.Bentley GT?

4.How important is it to register my watch? Can i do it online?

Thanks and this is a great Forum for Breitling Owners :lingsrock:

If you scroll down this post you will see pics of 2 of the Quilted diamond dials. http://breitlingsource.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=19145&hilit=+bentely+gt

These dials are special editions introduced in 2009 and did not replace the regular GT dials - just supplemented them.

$6500 is 15% of retail - not a great discount in the US for example - just so-so.

Post some pics! What dial did you get?

It's a great watch - enjoy it. :cheer:

Re: registration - very important - it activates the warranty in BUSA's (again assuming US) database. They can track the watch. Did you get a small warranty card with a self addressed envelope inn the box? If so, fill it out and send it in. If not, make sure the AD has it and sent it in. The AD is supposed to do this. You can call BUSA in about 3 weeks and they will let you know if the serial # is in their system.

Oh, registration also means you get free stuff sent to you. If you don't like free stuff I'll email you my addrerss and you can forward any stuff you get to me. I like free stuff.

Shark pretty much covered it all.

Warranty is beyond important. Make sure that is your number one priority.

the GT is a great piece. Wear it well.

I believe it winds in the clockwise direction only.

It's a caliber 13B and winds clockwise.

One way you can tell if it's winds clockwise or anti-clockwise is to jiggle the watch and see if you can get the rotor to spin for a while in one direction. If you can, that's the rotor free wheeling in the opposite diection from which it winds. If it doesn't free wheel it should be bi-directional.

Another way is to go to the main page here and check out the "models" section. It will TELL you. Haha.

One way you can tell if it's winds both directions is to jiggle the watch and see if you can get the rotor to spin for a while in one direction. If you can, that's the rotor free wheeling in the opposite diection from which it winds. If it doesn't free wheel it should be bi-directional.

Are you sure, I just checked here, says the 7750 (and 13B) winds clockwise only

How "limited" are the BENTLEY GT's? Since they cost more, do they hold their value more?

You should expect replacement value, aka retail price.
