do they just ship it UPS and send you a blind tracking #?

A couple months ago I bought a used Skyracer - white dial on pro II - but the chrono hands would not reset properly. I tracked it through 3 prior owners to get the date of purchase from an AD named Orrs, but hit a dead end. I wanted that date to validate the warranty. I took it to my AD about 3 weeks ago and they sent it to BUSA. Tonight I got an email from "unknown sender" with a tracking # and the item was being shipped from the UPS facility in Norwalk, CT. Having a college degree and all that, I deduced the package originated from nearby Wilton - home of the homely "Hanger 7."

So would this likely be my watch already?? Would they normally ship back to AD if AD originated the repair? I've received many gifts, both UPS and USPS, but never received a heads up. It isn't scheduled to arrive until the 18th and the suspense is killing me.

What say ye?

most likely your watch. busa took around 3 weeks with mine, and also shipped it back ups (2-day air). you can ask your ad if he put down your address for return shipment.

When I received my watch back from BUSA I received an email from an 'blank' sender with a UPS tracking number. I did the same thing; looked up the tracking info and it was originated from Wilton CT and sure enough it was my watch.

Fortunately the AD determined it was still under warranty.

Only three weeks? Lucky, I sent off my Super Ocean to Hangar 7 back towards the end of April and I'm still waiting for it to come back.

I'm guessing that yours was a regulr service - warranty issues jump to the front of the line.

I have a watch arriving tomorrow from Breitling headquarters in CT. I just got an automated phone call from US stating that Breitling has a scheduled delivery tomorrow.

I always try and send directly to the company themselves rather than going through an AD.

I'd be willing to wait a couple months for the watch if the mystery package contained VIP passes to the Reno Air Races.

The crown was stripped so it wasn't screwing back properly into the case, I only had the watch for two years and thought the repair would be covered under warranty but Breitling thought otherwise.

Well per my AD it's not my watch - so I guess it's a PRESENT! As it turns out I should have looked at the shipping weight - .7 pounds.
