Quality- plain and simple.

During a discussion last week with the owner of the AD I frequent, he talked of Baselworld 2010 and particularly Breitling. He and a few other ADs were on a factory tour and were handed a watch that had failed final inspection. Each examined it through a loop. None could find a problem. Turned out there was the slightest smudge on one of the smallest painted letters. I really like that.

Could it have been nothin more than a show? Sure, I suppose. But my experience with many models in all 5 ranges is pretty telling - not a single problem with a watch bought new from an AD. Not one. I really like that.

I 100% agree, I've never had any problems and every piece has been an absolute workhorse. Even my beater fish that has been through hell and back for years keeps COSC and has been pressure tested annually before my dive trips to the max of my AD's equipment.

One thing I've noticed though; do the new style superocean macro shots showing up across the boards look like very shoddy lume jobs or is it just me? There is one from a well known seller on watchnet right now that looks as if the superluminova is chunky and applied in uneven blobs. That's not the only one I've noticed either...

Absolutely concur. I enjoy the fact that they a rugged, accurate, and reliable as well. The Avenger series is my fave, but I like many otheres. I've always had good dealings with BUSA, and being a Marine, I enoy the "aviation and sea" concept they portray. Although I own an Rolex and a few Omegas, Breitling continues to be my favorite brand.
