I'm considering buying my first Breitling watch and as I live on a dutch barge, a waterproof model seems a sensible idea. Having thumbed the catalogue, i've settled on the Chrono SuperOcean model with the professional bracelet, but would welcome a second opinion on my choice as this is a 3 grand watch in the UK. Thanks Nick |

Hi Nick, A great choice I think! PM me and let me know where you are. I may be able to point you in the direction of a good AD. |

I own that watch, and I think it's great. You've got a high water resistance, chronograph, and day of the week. You can wear it swimming or on other athletic activities, or you can dress it up: ![]() ![]() |

Thanks Nick I used to have a CSO and it's a great watch. The only thing the CSO isn't is very big, but it still has a good solid presence on the wrist. My vote is go for it ![]() |

Hi don't know about the 3K GBP bit. I was looking and priced a Chrono Colt in my ABD here in Ireland and I got him down to under 2000 Euro. I know this is a quartz but I have no idea how this compares to UK ABD discounted prices? He showed me the one above in the wrist shot and I think he quoted 3300 Euro not discounted which I am sure I would have got for a shade over 3k Euro if not at 3k even, which would equate to around 2650GBP... Hope I have helped and not confused you. Anyone know if there is a price difference between Ireland and the UK? P.S. Both were on steel bracelets. ![]() Regards Breanach78 |

Do it! The CSO was my first Breitling. Bought it 5 years ago, it's my 'work watch' and it still looks as good as when I first got it. You can't go wrong with this one ![]() |

Thanks for all your positive comments, I saw a picture of a CSO on the forum with a leather strap, so I think I'm going to go for the black dial and black leather strap config instead of a bracelet. One question however I need to address is insurance, has anybody got any thoughts on this for somebody living in the UK ? Thanks Nick |

May I suggest if you are buying new that you get it on the bracelet and then buy a strap, it gives you the option to swap and buying a bracelet separately at a later date costs a lot more. Insurance wise, put it on your existing contents insured for wearing out of the house. |

oldnick wrote: One question however I need to address is insurance, has anybody got any thoughts on this for somebody living in the UK ? I've just renewed my home insurance and got a fantastic deal. I've added 4 Lings to my policy and am covered for loss, theft or damage both in and away from the home, plus it's a 'new for old' cover. It didn't cost me a fortune and the underwriters are major players in the insurance game. PM me if you would like details of the broker I used. |
