My AD in Toulouse told me an interesting story the other day when I went to collect my Bentley. He told me that he had been contacted by the GIGN (The French police equivalent of the US SWAT - rapid intervention teams) who wanted personalized Breitlings. They wanted 48 watches and when my AD contacted Breitling he was amazed that they just weren't interested in an order less than 50 pieces! (Even with 50 watches the cost of working the GIGN logo etc. onto the face was extra...) I can't imagine the GIGN ordering just any old watch, and it just seems a bit feeble on the part of Breitling to be so picky. When I noticed that my AD wasn't in fact listed on the Breitling for Bentley part of the Breitling site he explained that it was because he didn't order enough Bentleys per month - he only orders 4 or 5 and he needs to regularly order 5 or 6 - seems like the accountants are ruling/ruining everything nowadays... end gripe/- |

Yes it has always been B policy, if you want custom dial graphics, 50 pieces is the minimum.....even for special squadrons with less than 50 crew members, hence why you often get pieces coming on the market from squadrons....basically they are "over orders" and I guess the squadron makes a bit of cash from them?
