I have (had) 3 Breitling watches. Two were from the 1980s Eric Tabarly Yachting line and the third was my Father's Navitimer 2400:

I was wearing the Navitimer until last month when it stopped working. All three watches were sent to Breitling and deemed unrepairable / unrestorable. This is really disappointing since the Navitimer had a lot of sentimental value. My father actually wore his Breitling while flying his plane and it always reminded me of my childhood. As a result, I have been offered a discount towards the purchase of three new Breitlings: 40% of each new watch. I'd much prefer a bigger discount towards the purchase of one watch, but this seems to be their standard rules.

I have a smaller wrist and prefer smaller and lighter weight watches. The Navitimer fit me well (maybe even a bit small ) with it's small 35mm diameter.

Models I am considering:
Aerospace (black dial with titanium bracelet - not the newest one now on their website with lines running through the center of the dial)
Emergency (in orange with black Diver Pro or Ocean Racer strap)
Chrono Superocean (black dial with Diver Pro or Ocean Racer strap)

I really like the Aerospace titanium watch because of it's lighter weight and small size. However, I also like having a mechanical automatic watch that can be serviced for years to come. The emergency looks good and would add something completely unique to my watch collection. I also do a lot of back woods camping and wheeling, so it could be useful someday.

Let me know what you guys think about the discount offers and my watch choices.

The Chrono Superocean is big, no? Like 46mm?.....have you looked at the new Superocean II? I just got it today and I love it. It's also not too big at 42mm.

How about a Montbrillant? The size will work for you.

I'd definitely get the SO Heritage Chrono if it was any smaller. I tried on the non-chrono version and it was far to big for me.

Same here. I love it, but 46mm just looks huge on me and I don't like that.....went with the Superocean II and I love it.

I saw your posts about it. I'm really liking the new Superocean black dial version with either the Ocean Racer strap or the bracelet...maybe I should get both straps...

Aerospace
Superocean Heritage 38
Chrono Galactic

Or you could buy 2 and offer a buddy the discount on the 3rd.

I've decided on an Aerospace with black dial (2009 style without the new swirls and lines) with titanium bracelet and maybe also a new Superocean II in black with Ocean Racer Strap.

I'm waiting to hear back from them on the exact discount pricing...

What do you think about those choices?

To me, the new Superocean looks like a fresher and more modern Rolex Sub.

FYI...If you order a New Wave Superocean, the estimated delivery time is 2 months and it's shipped directly from Switzerland.
