Post subject:  Aerospace details

Firstly hello to all, my first post as the proud owner of a breitling aerospace after a wait of 16 years. It really did take that long for my wife to purchase one!! I would like to use this post to help me identify the raw details of my watch, such as "is it titanium" etc.

My wife bought it second hand from friends who bought it brand new however we can't get in touch with them at the moment. The model number is e65362 which suggests a 1990 titanium however the strap has 4101 stamped on it which makes me think it's actually stainless steel!

Any details regarding my question will be much appreciated.

Regards,

h

First, congrats on getting a GREAT timepiece!

I puchased my first Breitling May 1st, and I went back and forth between the Aerospace and an Airwolf.

Ended up getting an Airwolf, but still love the Aerospace!

You can check these two links, and see if they provides any answers for you.

You might also post some photos of your watch, which could help others identify it for you.

Again, congrats and welcome to Breitling Source!

The watch is a late non SuperQuartz version (1999 / 2000). The later ones were COSC certified (hence the 3 as the third number / fourth character of the model number) and were replaced by the SQ version with the caliber 75.

It's titanium, that's what the E means in the model number.

I'm assuming that the bracelet is also titanium 4101 would be the week and year of manufacture, but no reason to suspect that it wouldn't be titanium.

Congratulations on joining the Breitling club after such a long wait.

Thankyou very much for your prompt reply. It is already a very treasured time-piece and I feel proud to be associated with breitling.
