Hi all! I'm new here but have been on WUS for a while, and I posted a similar thread over there. This seemed like a more appropriate venue, however. I've been wondering - is there a proper owners' group anywhere? I am rather envious of my Panerai collecting friends who have a close-knit and solid group. They get together sometimes on weekends and it just seems like a fun way to meet like minded people. Is there anything similar for us Breitling collectors? I'm sure there are others out there who'd be interested, but selfishly I must state that I'm in northern California and would be personally seeking other owners around here. Of course, I can't control all of you, so if others want to use this thread to find each other I suppose I could be cool with that ![]() Reply or PM if you're interested! |

Hiya Well our small bunch of intrepids formed a group last year We met on a Saturday and stayed in a hotel, enjoying loads of watches then a rather loud dinner. We then went to the Duxford Air Museum the next day and had a fantastic day We all meet again on the 12th June, again an overnight in a hotel followed by a day at the RAF Cosford Air Display on the 13th. The Duxford 10 fly again! See you all in a few weeks guys! ![]() |

Sounds great! That's the sort of thing I'm looking to put together, but I am finding a dearth of candidates in my area. |

mattclarke wrote: who's the schlub without the 'ling? ![]() That Schlub is a wierd one. He wears his watches on the underside of his wrist, and as I recall he was wearing a Blackbird Big Date with an especially modified bracelet with a UTC Module. It's quite gorgeous. Verner who was the 10th had to leave earlier sadly, he was sporting a nice emergency mission. Breitling kindly sent 10 copies of "Breitling The Book." One for each of us, my AD gave us all Breitling CD wallets and Breitling UK kindly sent T'shirts and caps. The owner of a different forum also sent 18 22mm straps of various shapes and sizes. So, if you do arrange a meet, let it be known to the Breitling bosses. Great things happen. Davey here is one of the guys cuddling his prize... ![]() |

We also have a rather fantastic aviation museum nearby, the Aerospace Museum of California - would be a fun venue. So, now I've got the motivation, the incentive, the meeting place and the watches lined out... all that's missing is some members. I might get heckled somewhat roundly if I announced myself to the "Breitling Bosses" as a one-man fan club ![]() |
