just a quick thing regarding these watches.

I noticed that when you wear the SA and you flick your wrist that you can hear and feel the motor (or whatever its called ) spinnin 360 degrees multiple times. However when i do the same movement with my b4b motors T i dont notice it. Is this normal?

Its normal. The SA is based on an ETA 7750 which is notoriously noisy (most of us think its in a good way though). The Bentleys use 2982's which are much quieter.

Would the wobble be noticed while wearing a LE Navitimer 125e? I don't feel it what so ever whilst wearing my B2. I had a watch in the past where I could really feel it and I thought it was a product fault actually. For me it just didn't feel right. I would expect a smoother level of finish at these price points really....... Just my opinion though. I can see why some people may like it.

It has nothing to do with the level of finish. Its just the way the movement is.

some of you must be much more sensitive than me. I have a 13b and I have to try to hear and feel it. I thought it was quite quiet and would never hear during normal wear.

You'll notice it less with a Navi 125e and a B2 because they don't run 7750 based movements, but you will still be able to hear the rotor spinning. The Valjoux 7750's winding action is just more noisy : it's not a problem or a result of "poor finishing" or anything. As RJ said, it's just the way the movement is. It's no more an issue than the fact that some movements only wind in one direction whereas others are bi-directional.

thanks for the response guys. i kind of like the fact that the SA spins the way it does. feels different on the wrist. reminds me alot of my corum

hi i have a breitling super avenger, its not known for noise. Like previous reply stated, something like that breitling would never let past quality control. Its because noise the bushed in movement are worn and need replacing. This is done as standard when its serviced via breitling. Once then have been changed it will be quiet. I know because just had the same problem and asked breitling watch maker in person and sent for servie and not its sound free. 100% the answer

No, as has been said multiple times in this and other threads, it's because of the rotor.

The 'Valjoux wobble' is well documented, just ask Google, and is not a sign of wear. The 7750 is a well known noisy movement, but any movement that only winds in one direction and has the rotor 'freewheeling' in the other direction has some element of noise.

The rotors do have bearings and they can wear over time, but that's not the reason for the 7750 based watches to be loud.
