I'm getting another Ling, I just have no idea which one. I am all over the map with this decision, and truth-be-told, I have never been so happy about being indecisive. I'm having such a blast leafing through the Chronolog every night, noticing new details about each watch, "deciding" which one I want, and then starting the process again the next day only to arrive at a different conclusion. I have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA which watch I will choose. I'm just going to head to the AD, hopefully more than once, and have a look around. Currently on my list is the antracite dial Evo, Blacksteel, Blackbird (yes I know a month ago I said it wasn't my favorite, but my AD has one in stock and it's so cool in person), gray dial Avenger Skyland, white dial Steelfish, white dial Colt GMT or white dial/blue sub CSO. Given the price range on those models, I may be able to pick up two at the lower end of the scale, which makes the decision that much more complicated and fun. So as you can see, I've really narrowed it down. Okay. I am done unloading my excitement to you, my online therapy group. My wife certainly doesn't understand. Though she did point out a Chrono SuperOcean in the grocery store the other day, so maybe she's learning ![]() |

Yes, I bet most of us here know your excitement. ![]() Well, it sounds like you have at least excluded half the chronolog from your choice. ![]() |

Morecowbell, I share in your excitement, there is something about knowing that your about to make a big purchase and the only thing to worry about deciding on what to get. I like and encourage the idea of visiting a few local dealers in hopes that you'll be able to shorten your current list. Good luck and enjoy!! ![]() ![]() Cheers |

I don't have an Emergency. I absolutely love the looks of it. But to be perfectly honest, I am petrified of that antenna. I'm afraid my daughter will unscrew it (she's 7) or I'll get drunk and unscrew it, or some other ridiculous scenario will occur and the thing will go off. Now, my daughter is very well behaved and most of best drinking days are in the rearview, but I'm still scared of that antenna. |

Go for a couple instead of just one, mix it up and get one brushed and one polished finish. |

The Blackbird is definitely a special watch! I keep rambling on and on about it in this forum, but it really is very special. I haven't seen a Skyland with the grey dial yet, but I am sure it looks amazing. There is a posting in the Gallery section of a black dial Skyland with the Ocean Racer strap, which looks great. The Skyland with the polished stainless bracelet is really shiny, but the Ocean Racer tones it down a bit. That is only my taste, though. I was lucky enough to get a Blacksteel, and I love this watch. I feel that the Diver Pro strap is perfect for it. I recently got a Steelfish, and am now wondering what to do with it. It is wonderful, but I have not thought about wearing anything else since I got the Blacksteel. I did not see one with the silver dial, though. You are very correct in saying that the deciding is almost the best part. I spent months looking around at every model before I came to a decision. I enjoyed every minute of it! You are also right in saying that there are very few people who understand the amount of enthusiasm we have for these watches, and the excitement that grows as we come closer to owning a new one. Have fun and keep us posted! Cheers, Carl |

I vote for this option as well. (worked for me!) I hope you can see the EVO with anthracite dial. It is fantastic looking in person. I was wanting that one, but my AD didnt have it and after looking at 3 dozon different EVO's I settled on the black dial with silver subs. Scott |

I'm with you on this one MoreCowbell! I can just imagine a cold winter's night, a few beers to the good, and me suddenly having a great idea to get a lift home on a "friendly" search and rescue helicopter! ![]() And then waking up with a £50,000 bill to go with the hangover! ![]() |
