This recently acquired CWSLE Sport is No. 26 in a limited edition of 250 and, so I have read, sold originally only through Italian retailers. The warranty booklet indicates this particular piece was sold by an AD in Italy on 11-10-2004.

These images do not do the dial justice. It is a fine matte black while the sub-dials are engine-turned and finished in a shiny jet-black. I'll have to fool around with lighting and try to bring out this detail.

Moving on, I was fooling around with bracelets and straps this morning ... interesting that the faceted Pilot from my big-date Blackbird fits perfectly. While the facets are similar to an original CWS bracelet, I don't believe those ever came completely satin. Does anybody know? The polished edges look a bit odd with this completely satin piece, imho.

I think the watch looks much better on the fully satin Pilot from my Crosswind Racing ... not surprised that these end-pieces fit.

Maratac Elite in 22mm. I wore this combo out today and quit fitting straps :) I do have the original Diver Pro and the seller also sent me a nice Hirsch Carbon Sport with red stitching. I'll post pics of that another day.

Congrats, it's a beauty.
Here's another one on the rubber (not mine, unfortunately).

Great watch - they could certainly make them in those days!!

I think that you are right that the bracelets were all brushed / polished, but not 100%

That is a really nice model. For those looking, there is one on the bay right now. Although I think they are more than a little proud of it (from the price). :)

We don't see many of those one on here.... or anywhere else for that matter! Quite a rarity to see one in the wild.

Although it's an LE, it's not one of the ridiculously small runs (i.e. < 50) so with 250 of them out there you'd probably expect to see more than you do. I guess people have tended to hold on to them when they bought them. And for good reason as it's a great looking piece.

Yeah, you would think there would be more around. I've only found three owners over the last year and none for sale until recently (there is one on the bay that includes a 369A bracelet from the current Blackbird). My thanks go out to the gentleman that was willing to part with this one!

It's in "good" shape, but I'm sending off to BUSA for evaluation and probable overhaul as it is seven years old and runs a little slow at -10 seconds per day. It could use a good going over for little nicks and scratches as well although to the naked eye it is 90% at least.
