why is this happening...

thanks

Why/how is it hurting? If it's because the clasp is pressing on the bone you just need to move a link from one side to the other. Breitling bracelets are interesting in that they're suppose to be asymmetrical. You can read about it here: http://www.breitlingsource.com/articles_bias.shtml

When I was first wearing a Chrono Evo I had the same number of links on each side, and it ended up bruising my wrist! Hope this helps.

Adam

Seriously, wearing a Ling on a SS Bracelet is much like weightlifting. The first day you start to weight lift, you will be hurting badly and be extremely sore the next day. However, the more often you do it, you will get used to the pain. That's all the advice I can offer. Try to ignore the pain, then eventually it will go away, since your wrist will be used to the heaviness of the Breitling.

I've never found this at all! Sure an SA and the like are quite hefty watches, but I put them on and after a couple of mins I forget they're there. In fact, I feel naked without a watch on!

Which side of your wrist hurts?? Is it on the thumb side or the baby finger side? Does the band seem tight or too loose? I wear my watches with a bracelet quite loose, but I make sure the watch does not easily slip side to side. Try adjusting your bracelet size first.
Good luck,

Peter,

I had the same problem you are having. At the AD the watch felt great and once I got home and wore it a bit, the watch seemed to feel too tight. Depending on the temperature, your wrist can shrink or expand some. I posted a question regarding this and Driver gave me some great advice. I went back and added one link to the top of the watch (12 O'clock) and moved the clasp pin in and it fits great. Not too tight and not too loose. Once summer gets here I can still adjust the band by moving the clasp pin back one if my wrist swells some more.

One other thing I have noticed is that the Breitling back is somewhat curved. So it does push into your wrist a little bit more. My Tag Heuer back is completely flat, so I can give my wrist a quick shake and the watch will slide down closer to my hand, where I prefer to wear it.

Good luck!

Peter,

To me it sounds like the bracelet is a little too tight. My rule is that if I can slide a pen/pencil or my pinky between my wrist and bracelet its comfortable enough for me. I like it tight enough to keep the face centered on my wrist, but loose enough so that I can move it up and down my arm a bit with a little shake of the wrist. This way as I flex my forearm and move around my hand it has room to move to a more comfortable place on its own.

Try either putting another link back in, or moving the pin on your clasp. It took my AD like 5 minutes to fit mine correctly and its been extremely comfortable ever since. Good Luck!

I wear my pieces a little loose. Too snug and it could be very uncomfortable. I like to be able to slide north and south a bit.

:D Sorry, but that was a cracker of an answer.
If I read the your original post correctly Peter, it sounds like you like wearing your watch on the wrist joint below the carpals ?
I just tried that out of mild curiousity and you are right, its painful.

I used to wear my watches lower closer to my wrist until i started wearing heavy Lings.. then I had to move them up over the wrist bone. Now its much more comfortable.. otherwise the crowns dig into my hand.

I understood it also like that. I'm not sure why you would like to do that though. That space on the wrist is very limited and anything above a lady sized watch will probably hurt. I have never seen anyone wear their watches there. My suggestion would be to wear it on the wrist, higher up, like everybody else.
