Post subject: | Steelfish Question |
Although I have been collecting watches for about 25yrs I am a newbie to the world of Breitling. That being said, I just picked up a practically NIB Steelfish Model A17390. This is a 44mm model on the Pro2 Bracelet. It looks almost identical to the current model but it has the red arrow second hand instead of the red square second hand. Does this make it a 2006 XPLUS model? Not that I care, I like the Arrow hand better, I just want to know it's model and model year for future reference. Thanks! |

The red arrow hand is the current model, I believe that Breitling changed from the square to the arrow sometime in 2007, if you want to find out what year it is, take the bracelet off and there should be a date stamp between the 6 o'clock lugs, it will have the format xxyy, where xx is the week and yy is the year of manufacture. the date code is 4809, which makes it much newer than i thought it would was. Very happy on that account. After the date 4809 there is another code B5. Any idea what the B5 means? |
