I'm fairly new to Breitling ownership, so please bear with me if I seem a bit thick - perhaps someone would kindly tell me what a UTC is ?

Thanx in advance...

UTC stands for Universal Time Coordinated.. check the glossary on the site: http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_te ... ry.shtml#u

The UTC Module from Breitling is intended to be used to show UTC, so that when pilots are flying all over the world they can use this as a means to convey time. That's the little analog clock on the bracelet of some models.

Sorry, I wasn't very clear - I referred to the menton of UTC on the bracelet - I understand what the term means but hadn't realised that straps existed with additional clock movements.

Thank you

no prob! I should add that Breitling has released a new version of the UTC module called the Co-Pilot module.

I believe they still make the UTC Module but the new Co-Pilot module will have a chronograph, landing time, local time, etc... very useful for pilots apparently. It is also digital rather than analog display. I prefer the look of the classic UTC module myself, but the co-pilot certain has functional superiority.
