Hi Guy's

Not been in much as been working abroad a lot. Hope you are all well

I was going to buy a Nav world in Changi airport, but they had sold them all!!!! Nooooooooo

I had a lovely return to the forum where I tried to help a new member out with a sale, but he was less than fun to chat with.

Oh well happy day's not been called a thief often, but it's refreshing! :P

As an aside I tried on the Chronospace a couple of days ago..... :lingsrock:

And duly put a deposit down...... :roll:

REALLY looking forward to wearing it and posting some pics!

I've got a meeting of Breitling chums coming up in June, the 2nd meeting of the Duxford 10. Pics will follow!

Glad that work has been good Davey, even if the travelling has been hard. Hope you'll be able to spend a little more time around here now.

Saw your post the other day about the Chronospace, don't really get what you see in it, but thank goodness we don't all like the same thing.

I can't even begin to imagine what would have led to you being accused of being a thief, and probably don't want to know :wowzers

Good to see you back in circulation Davey! :thumbsup: Although it's a shame you had a "run-in" on your return to the forum. :?

Shame about the Navi World, but congrats (I think! :wink: :poke: ) on the Chronospace! There are elements of it I like.... and elements I don't, but as Roff so rightly said, it's a damn good thing we don't all like the same stuff.

If you didn't try to sell me your used Legende for $4,500 I would have had nicer things to say. Charging near full retail (after ad's discount) for a used Legende is outrageous and out of line....way to go 'helping me out.' And what aggravated me most was that you tried to convince me by saying that the exchange rate was in my favor... Give me a break! I might be new to the forum but I'm not a fool.

I'm so pleased you replied! I was missing you.

With the exchange rate currently at approx 1.5 US$ to the £ Stirling we are at a relative low. So I thought that might be nice! I prefer it at 1.95 but hey.

The AD discounts are sometimes there, but not always for one off purchases, unless of course you are a regular customer, and have a purchase history with them, do you? If so, then I'm sure they will grant you a huge discount and a large Latte whilst they wrap up your new purchase.

As you obviously get rather excited, rather quickly, you may want to consider a different model 'tho. The poor water resistance of the Montbrillant may not, I fear, stand the drenching it would get each time you pee your pants over anything not entirely in your favour.

The new Superocean might be right up up your alley, so to speak.

Now this might be a culture thing that I don't understand, but usually, here in the UK, when someone offers to help it's either gracefully accepted or denied with thanks for the kind offer. But not often slammed back in the face of the person who was trying, even if misguidedly, to help.

So, I hope you find a good cheap 2nd hand Monty, or indeed a new Superocean. Citizen do a nice line in timepieces too if the cost is a real issue for you, I have a couple that wear very well. Would you be interested in a slightly used Nighthawk?

I'm sad that we don't get on, but hey, I'm sure our thread will provide some entertainment for our fellow forum chums.

Why are you angry with damnfoolman? If he was charging more than you were willing to pay, just don't accept the offer. Period. No need for an arguement or are we missing something behind the scenes?

Fool - another unnecessary attack by you. Why didn't you tell everyone that you told me to grow a pair of balls and that you called me an idiot prior to me becoming excited and calling you a theif? I guess you conveniently left that out to make yourself look like the hero you apparently think you are. I'm surprised you have time to post; shouldn't you be searching for more new members to 'help' out with your wonderfully priced used watches??

Had you made a 'kind offer' I would have gracefully declined. Maybe you're right, maybe it is cultural, but where I come trying to rip each other off isn't tolerated. How much are you selling your Citizen Nighthawk for? $1,500? But hey, at least the exchange rate would be in my favor right?
