Hey Ya'll!

So I popped the question and getting married sometime in the next year and a half(9-10-11 to be exact!)

My Brother is like my best friend and thought I would do something nice to show my appreciation since he will be my best man at my wedding.

I thought it would be AWESOME to get him his first "B" but the question is... Which one? He currently wears a Cartier watch that is very small faced and he really likes it! Which is the complete opposite of me BTW :D .... I want something simple yet classy. No need for a chronograph and possibly something on a leather band would be nice!

PS... Something affordable would be nice... 3K?

Any suggestions?

Yea I'm currently looking at a bunch... Colts, SO's and all in the same money ball park to an extent. Plus, I'm sure I can get around 30% of at the AD so I should be good! My brother (fortunately)would like a leather band better too so that should also save me a chunk of change there! :lingsrock:

Thats the exact combo I was thinking! Plus, yes I would give it to him right before hand as a thanks!

How much do you think I could get this for at an AD?... I know how some models the AD can discount much more than others and I'm not too familiar with Colts.

Also... If anyone has pics of any Colts with a black Leather or Croc strap post some pics please! :D

Or any other combos you think would be nice so I can get some ideas!

I have to say that I am pleased to see the cockpit get some love here. It's an amazingly versatile watch that will be the perfect watch to wear for the wedding, but will look just as much at home with jeans and a t-shirt.

$3,000 may be stretching it for a new one, but you can certainly get a fairly recent used one for that price (if you can find one).

you may not be able to get 30% due to dealer prices going up May 1.

Something not cheap but a low price (to save the cash flow) without looking clumsy,..and no chrono to worry about.......how about a Super Ocean 589
some stylish piece with a black leather strap try the blue dial of the 589....simple,but nice....... :superman:
