Hey,

I really want to buy a black batons Super Avenger and all my local AD's only have the new stencil dials.

i dont really want to buy from the US online as customs issues and time involved etc is a hassle i cant be bothered with.

so is there any recommended safe safe websites in the UK?

Well, assuming you're OK with the potential pitfalls of buying from a non-AD (lack of Breitling warranty, etc, etc), then AATime is one of the most well known and trustworthy. Their prices are not very competitive with US sites though, although you obviously don't have the import duty to worry about.

Watchfinder have a good reputation too. A mate of mine bought his IWC Big Ingenieur from them as "pre-owned unworn" with no problems at all.

You could also try www.bankslyon.co.uk, they are an authorised dealer and although you can't technically buy one online, they have a useful live chat facility where they will be happy to give you their best price. I've used them a couple of times now, great people to deal with.

I ended up ordering the White stencil super avenger from watchfinder.co.uk

in all it took about 2 weeks and it finally arrived this morning.

So with a nice parcel sitting on my desk this morning I got really excited and went off to make a cup of tea and get comfy In my chair and began to open the parcel....

WTF!! they sent me the old Arabic dial super avenger!!

AAARGH! I even told them to not confuse the new stencils with the older Arabic dial!

I'm gutted and don't want to wait another few weeks when my local AD has the one I want although more expensive than watchfinder....I think I'll get my money back and go haggle with the AD!

They gave me a refund no problem....took about a week for the money to get back into my account.

So this left me nervous about spending this amount of money online..

I decided to walk into my local AD in Inverness and paid £3330 for the white SA with stencil numbers.

I know it's expensive but it's the one I wanted and peace of mind aswell.
