Hi folks
I'm going to be buying my first Breitling quite soon - I was set on the Colt Quartz, but the new SuperOcean is really starting to grow on me! I tried to get in contact with a local AD but they really weren't any help... Just wondering does anyone know roughly how long it takes for new models to make their way onto general release, from the time Breitling announce them? Could I expect to see the new SuperOcean in AD's any time soon?
(sorry if this question has already been asked, but i've been looking around to no avail!)

it can take a month, sometimes 4, but they will start showing up in stores around may usually. b01's hit june of last year, if memory serves

Yeah generally the second half of May for the first ones and by early September they'll be available at pretty much all ADs.

They will try to ship whatever is available before BUSA breaks for vacation... Like others have said. May to June...

when do they break and how does it affect open orders?

Their vacation is usually the last three weeks of July and sometimes into the first of August. When you refer to open orders do you mean opening orders as in Basel or an open order you have with an AD?

My AD got a visit from his rep last week. The rep said that the new models will not arrive until August.

For those dealers that did not go to Basel, that may be the case... One of the primary reasons an AD will visit Basel is to assure themselves of Limited Edition Stock and place their orders prior to the Vegas show. That is if they are a dealer in the USA.
