When you guys are on vacation, do you swim with your watches in a hotel pool? I am not concerned about water resistance, but more concerned about the higher concentration of chemicals, suntan lotion film, and everything else…… KV |

I don't like swimming with any watch on. Feels strange. I'm sure the chemicals in the pool will do damage to the seals/gaskets, but I doubt you'll find your watch disintergrating in front of you. Prolonged and repeated exposure to this environment would no doubt comprimise the water-tightness but a one-off vacation thing can't have a huge effect. |

No expert, but I imagine that the advice is the same as for salt water - rinse off thoroughly in clean water afterwards but don't worry beyond that unless it's a regular thing in which case have the seals checked / replaced wvery 12 months. |

Only Breitling I went swimming with was my Seawolf. I simply rinsed it with tap water and then wiped dry, once finished. ![]() |

I swim with my G-Shock when I've gone on vacations. While I'm not concerned about my SuperOcean having problems in water, I don't really see the point in risking it. If for some reason the G-Shock leaks or gets lost/damaged in water, it won't bother me too much. I'd flip if that happened to my Breitling. |

When it's tIme for water I always go with a Seawolf. You can't go wrong. Just rinse it off at the end of the day. |

I've also never had any issues swimming with any of my watches. Now I don't take my Navi Monty out (3 atm) but my watches that are 10 bars and up have all been fine over the years. As others have said, simply rinse off afterwards in clean water. |

I actually asked the Breitling HQ in Singapore if it is ok to dive w my SA. Not only she said of course, but she said to bring it back after the dive so they can do cleaning & water pressure test for free. So I did and they did... ![]() ![]() |
