Not sure if this helps but when I was looking a year ago, stores with the existing version and previous version had them priced the same. A few ADs couldn't even tell the difference. I don't know what they wound up selling for though.

The SuperOcean is now discontinued, replacedby the SuperOcean II that was announced at Basel. That will mean no more factory shipments of SuperOceans but ADs will obviously still have stock.

In terms of pricing, I doubt that you will see anything immediately, and whether discounts increase or decrease will depend on demand - if everyone wants theold one then discounts will reduce, if everyone wants to wait for the new one then discounts will increase as ADs try to shift the ones that they have left.

I would be willing to bet that the new SuperOcean goes for at least a grand more than the SuperOcean I. Even though it still has the Breitling Calibre 17 movement. The GMT+ went up a grand over the previous model, and that was cosmetic changes as well. The only way that I could personally see a justification for such an increase, would be if Breitling was to put an inhouse movement in the watch as well.
Sorry to get off topic, but I feel the GMT+ was not a positive change. That wide lug, with the very tapered bracelet comes really close to the Omega Constellation IMO, and not a look that appeals to me personally.
I do like the looks of the new SuperOcean. Seems that they got a lot of the looks from the 2009 Seawolf. I just wish they had changed the lug width up to 22mm instead of 20mm.
Cheers,
Carl
