I have to say, I hope that all Breitlings in the future aren't going to look as horrible as the new Superocean!!! I LOVE Breitlings, but this looks like a Walmart watch. Sorry for the nay saying, I just had to vent. |

Breitling needs to go upmarket not downmarket. I dont mind the new superocean but the IWC Acquatimer range is heaps better designed. Breitling need to take some designs from IWC and change them slightly and present them as new models in 2011- just my opinion thats all. |

Not sure what you guys are complaining about, its a magnificent watch and will sell like hot cakes. It's exactly what people are asking for. Less bling, more fun. All the 50cents wannabes are crying though. One step in the right direction for Breitling.

Whats your view when you compare the newest superocean for example to the IWC Acquatimers, in my view its a non contest- IWC wins hands down in terms of this range of watches. |

Captain Obvious points out that the Aquatimers are more expensive.  Less obvious, more arguable: the design and price of the SuperOcean would seem to indicate that it's not intended to directly compete with the Aquatimer. But having said all that, I basically agree with you. I'd choose an Automatic 2000 over the new SuperOcean, and an Avenger Seawolf over an Automatic 2000. Peace Mike |

Yeah, like I said in the other thread, on AUD prices the Aquatimer is double the cost. Having said that, I think at least to an extent the Superocean does compete with the Aquatimer, not on price obviously but they are competing for the attention of people who like that sort of watch. I want a new black dial diver on a bracelet, and these 2 are definitely on the shortlist. |
