What a fantastic guy, I started my journey for a new Breitling sometime ago. Like most on here it was a long and winding journey as I looked at practically every watch in great detail trying to determine which was the one that sang to me
Originally I had my old Blackbird, and had contemplated selling it and funding a Omega Seamaster..... I know what was I thinking! But I couldn't walk away from Breitling.
I then narrowed my search to the black SOH on mesh because I loved the classic retro look of it. Thanks to some great advice on here and help from Sonyman that dream came closer.
Then by chance I was reading a thread and noticed that Pete had mentioned he had thought about selling his SOHC. I had not even thought about this watch as it was I thought outside my budget. But I sent him a pm and said if he decided to in the future then I might be interested. I received a pm back saying he was seriously concidering ut and would keep in touch.
This started numerous pms and emails in which Pete was an absolute STAR!!! I've never brought or sold anything like this through PayPal before and he went way beyond the call of duty to help!!!
I'd like to think I've gained not only a fantastic watch but also a friend!!!
I'm now the very proud owner of a gleaming black SOHC on black croc!!! It's beautiful and like him I just sit looking at it from every angle!!!
It's was completely spotless.... If there is such a thing as better than mint then this would be it!!! I unfortunately have put a small mark on the lug changing the strap.... But I'm guessing this is hard to avoid
So thanks to Sonyman, Roff and you all for the advice but a special thanks to my friend 61Jaguar and I hope your new baby arrives soon and you're as pleased as I am with it's arrival!
When I get a chance I will add pictures fir all to see!!!
