Hey guys

Need a suggestion for a second watch here. I currently have a Super Avenger Blacksteel and love the watch, in terms of legibility its probably the best watch out there and a lot more substantial than the IWC Dopple or any PAM that I have handled.


I recently got bit by the PAM bug and owned the PAM 104, 312 and 305. Sold all of them with 2 months of owning it as I really couldnt see the $5K+ value in any of them and couldnt love them enuf to keep them. None of them (even the 47mm 305 included) had the "it" factor for some reason.

Which brings me back to Breitling brand, for some reason I cannot seem to find a comparable watch in the market that is as substantial as the Super Avenger. I have the Blacksteel version and want a second watch and am considering the regular SA Black Dial with silver subdials.

Any other recommendations as to what would be a good match to the SA Blacksteel ? A bracelet watch will be very much preferred as the SA BS comes with a rubber strap already.

If you like it and can afford it, then do it! I used to own 2 SA's myself - one with a black dial (that I still have) and one with a white dial (that I sold). And both of those were the regular steel versions! :lol:

Before buying another SA regardless if this one will be the reg version, have you looked into the Bentleys? Some of those look huge IMO. Im sure that would catch your attention too.

Bentley 6.75 is the closest to the SA

The PAM 315 is a monster....yet elegant at the same time :drool:

Too bad its not an AUTO :? but with that Power Reserve... :D I can overlook that "problem"

thats EXACTLY what i have now, 2 superavengers, black steel every day, diamond white bezel for dress, and and gmt or 6.75 is next

I too am flirting with the idea of another SA. The watch just fits me and my personality so perfectly that I have a hard time finding something that compares.
I think it's called SAitus.

I thought one of the Bentley's would be my next watch, but was surrised how smaller it wore on my wrist. Tried a World also and I liked that better than the Bentley but i'm not ready for a World just yet.

If you love the SA then definitely feel good about going for another one. Although I have a PAM 312 and find nothing comparable to it...just my opinion. Good luck!

I know I have a problem, but I own 4 Super Avengers and like you, the Blacksteel is my daily wear. The problem is that after wearing the SA blacksteel all day, you can't go to anything smaller as it seems inadequate... go for it. :twisted:
