Post subject:  International Shipping AD's

I'm getting a little irritated with my AD, as after around 10 years of business with me, they've never managed to give me more than a 10% discount - most of the time much less - and that's after some serious pleading. (Another UK AD I used only gave me a 3% discount, and that was because it was nearly closing time and they had it in stock!)

I've read on here that some of you guys Stateside use AD's who will ship internationally and are also prepared to offered nicer discounts without too much haggling. That coupled with the current strength of the dollar is spurring me on to buy from an AD abroad. It's not that I want something for nothing, but I'm fed up being made to feel like I am robbing food from their children's mouths by asking for a couple of hundred quid off the RRP!

Can anyone PM me with contact details of their AD, if they are open to a little price negotiation and based somewhere where I might have a chance of getting value for money currency wise! (i.e. the US, the Caribbean or Canada).

Another option, beyond finding an AD to ship it to your would be to get a member to go to the AD, purchase it for you and then the member could ship it to you... in a way that your VAT's would be lower, if you catch my drift.

I would love that job!
I mean, buying Breitlings is fun! Even if I don't get to keep them!

Driver8, let me know when I start ;)

I purchased my EVO at Little Switzerland in St. Thomas for 3400 USD. If you are interested I can pm you the info of the sales rep I dealt with when I get home. I don't know if they will ship world wide, but it wouldn't hurt to ask with the kind of discounts they provide down there.

if anyone finds an ad that ships internationally or if anyone starts a lets ship internationally club, please sign me up. prices here aren't as bad as the uk, but they could be better . . .

I can ship internationally, but UK gets no tax refund, US can get tax back, but might be subject to import duty (higher than refund!) and I cannot offer wonders in the pricing. Best deals I can offer is for inhabitants of not EU countries, who visit Vienna in person.

Details I PM'ed you a few months back are still good for my guy in Toronto - let me know if you need me to resend. He definitely will ship internationally, and is fair with pricing, but obviously you may still have to face import duty at your end.

Not sure what the tax situation is - I know if you are a visitor then you can complete a form to get a refund on the two sales taxes (which total 13%), but not sure whether shipped goods are exempt from the taxes completely.

Yeah, I remembered last night that you'd sent me the info about your AD, Roff. (Thanks by the way.) I still have the info so I'll definitely be giving him a try. Cheers.
