Well, you may have seen my other thread on bracelet/strapo changing and how not to scratch my case back/lug area that is in inevitable. I took my Bergeon 6767-f tool and took the bit off the tool and the extra bit it comes with and a pair of snap ring pliers (available at any hardware store) and made a pair of spring bar pliers!!! No more scratching the case back/ lug area... your welcome! :lingsrock:

I took these snap ring/retaing pliers and put the Bergeon 6767-f tips on the end . I spent $15 on this tool. The actual Bergeon spring bar pliers are $145!!!

Why don't Bergeon just put a plastic or rubber coating on the tip to stop it scratching?

Is that to simplistic?

Well, its not the tool that scratches its the spring bar or the strap alignment. With the 6767-f tool one end of the spring bar is exposed while trying to engage to the other end.

Hahaha. The nice thing is the Bergeon bits thread in, so they are held tight and secure during strap/bracelet chages.

Oh, that is nice. I'll have to run over to Otto Frei and get some tips.
