Hi Guys As you guys know. I got a new Blackbird this week, on seeting the time I could not get the date numbers to move and as the days were only a couple of days out wound the hands round to get the correct date. My question is is there anything I am not doing / doing wrong which is why the crown won't set the date without winding the hours on??? Thanks John |

Thanks John Are you sure that you had the crown at the first pull out - i.e. not the winding position but small seconds still running? |

Thanks Roff As it doesnt bother me, would it make sense to leave it for a year get some wear and tear from the watch and send it in later? i.e if they take the watch in for a repair under warranty do Brietling refinish (polish) the watch as part of the warranty work? thanks John |

I would get it fixed as soon as possible in case there is something more serious going on. |

If this is a brand new watch, get it back to the AD to check it out. It should be exchanged if it is truely broken. There isnt much you could have done wrong to mess things up. Just for clarification though, if you can move the hands with the crown the crown is in position #2 not in position #1 (date change position). Sometimes I have to push the crowns back it and try again to get it just to the first "click" to reset a date. FYI. |
