Just got back from Hong Kong, and it was like being at Toys'r US when I was 10.... Swiss watches everywhere, every corner a watche store with Jaeger-LeCoultre, Longines, Maurice Lacroix, Panerai, Patek Philippe, Piaget , Richard Mille, Rolex, Roger Dubuis, Ulysse Nardin, Vacheron Constantin, Omega, etc etc.... (Breitling wasn't that popular... more Rolex and Omega's...) Giant Billboards in the city with Omega's and Roger Muller's .... Makes me wonder if people there only work to buy watches.... Anyway, I founded my watches paradise, and all taxes free... What's your favorite place? ![]() ![]() ![]() I wish I could take this one... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I guess I would have to day my favourite place in Time & Gold, my local AD where I just purchased my Blacksteel. I have dealt with them for over 10 years, and the service has always been superlative. They are a class act, also friendly and obliging. Tax Free or not, I can't imagine purchasing a watch anywhere else. Having said that, I do take my time browsing in other shops, and elsewhere including Europe. Speaking of Hong Kong, that billboard of George Clooney with the new Omega Hour Vision caught my eye. I have seen two of those now at my AD, and that is one incredible watch! The stainless one starts at $8100. with the stainless strap, so that gold one must be worth a fortune. It really is an amazing watch, though, and was on my list a few months back. Now I have a new Steelfish and Blacksteel, and am more than happy. Many happy travels. I sent you a PM. Thanks largely to your comments, I bought the Blacksteel today. Is that you in the pic with the chrogograph etched in the rock, wearing your Blacksteel? Cheers, Carl |
