I recently bought my Chrono Evo (2009) a few months back and ordered the Black face(that only comes with) w/ Roman numerals. Now when looking on the websites of the combinations the "black" on the website seems WAY blacker on the websites than on my watch! My watch seems more graphite colored! :idontgetit:

I RANDOMLY JUST NOTICED THIS! Any thoughts?

The picture below do not do justice at all so please do not refer to them. But if you look at my face directly the face is not a pure Black it is ore of a grey-ish tone! Yet, the website say black! Or, the other option is too get it in graphite (which is what it looks more like!).

In your pics they look black. It may jut be because the dial is matte that it looks not as glossy in sunlight. If you've been wearing the watch for 2 months and just NOW noticed that you think you got the wrong dial color, who cares? You obviously like the watch.

That's like driving a silver car for a few months and then going, "wasn't I supposed to get black?" :)

Most marketing pictures are not able to represent true colour shades. My Omega Planet Ocean has a matte black dial, and it too looks grey under most lighting conditions. But if you like your watch, who cares if it is a deep gray or a black, really? 8) I think your combo looks sharp and I'd be happy to get the same. Too bad it's too expensive for me right now :(

Good to know I'm not the only one! But thanks for the comment! :lingsrock:

My B01 dial is called "Sierra Silver," but it's more of a pearl white color. The center square on the dial is definitely silver, but the rest of the dial definitely is not. If nothing else, at least this tells you the issue isn't isolated to your particular model.

I have an Evo with the white dial and silver subs. Not only does vary it’s appearance in different lighting, but it bears little resemblance to it’s picture in the Chronolog. It looks boring on the website, but stunning in person. Hard to believe it’s the same watch.

I like to think because the dials are so nice, they have a little chameleon in them. Whatever you see on the website isn’t exactly how they come across in the real world – they are generally better!

I do not quite agree. I have a B01 with the Pearl dial and its color varies from greenish to greyish depending on the angle you look at it and how the light plays with it.

The Sierra Silver dial is much more silverish/ecru, especially if you chose the indexes instead of the Roman numbers. In that case, the square in the middle of the dial is much more visible as it clearly oversteps on the small dials. That is not the case with Roman numerals when the contrary happens: the small dials overstep on the square.
