Hi,
Is there anywhere in the UK to get either Cape Cod or Sunshine Clothes?

And I know its an old battle but which would be the better for removing a ding?

Thanks again.

Ebay is your best bet for these.

Personally I would say Cape Cods are better for removing slightly larger scratches as I consider Sunshines to be even more gentle and more of a finishing cloth. (In any event, both are pretty gentle and you will need to put some elbow grease in too). Cods are more mucky as they have a liquid polishing compound impregrenated in them, while Sunshines are dry. Cods also smell of vanilla which you may or like or you may hate!

Millions of threads on here about both, so use the search function to see people's opinions.

There's a company called 'Lakeland' whose head office and main shop is is Windermere in The Lake District. They have an online shop and a tin containing 12 cape cod cloths, gloves and a buffing cloth is available for £12.99

Here's a link http://www.lakeland.co.uk/F/keyword/cap ... oduct/1978

I just purchased some Cape Cods from Lakeland and gave the Skyland and SA a good polish for the first time. I polished both in about an hour, hour and a half and was really impressed with the finish, really smooth and gleaming!! I wasn't expecting them to come out brand new but they certainly look the part again. As always the clasps take the most beating and now they are gleaming with very few swirls.

Like someone else said I would recommend the Cape Cods for a good 'spring clean' and the sunshine cloths every now and again!

Cheers

Going on to larger scratches or deep "dings" the Cape Cods are a very good polishing cloth but for actual scratches it must be a long time in polishing one of those out............how about some Brasso to initially get the deep parts out then finish with the CC ?........anyone tried it yet ?.......me and Mr Green  are lucky we are still pristine with our Lings....

How often do you suggest breaking out the Cape Cods, 4 or 5 times per year? I love the results, but don’t want to overdo it..

Thanks!
