I foolishly asked my son what he wanted for his 21st birthday (3rd March) He replied that he'd like a new watch and he's inherited my love of Breitlings. Huh fat chance of him getting a Breitling. I set a budget of £1200 with a view to getting him a TAG or Omega. Then the disease set in and a found myself looking at Brietllings. Very nice Colt came into view and the dealer discounted me 10% and that was it I was sold. Be interesting to see his reaction on Wednesday |

My parents bought me an Omega for £1200 on my 21st birthday. I loved that watch and wore is a lot and it still looked like new even though it was worn almost constantly for a number of years. Unfortunately, I lost it... I bought a cheap watch when doing some site work and put the Omega away. When we moved country, the Omega went missing. My parents ask me from time to time why I'm not wearing it and I always mumble something like "I'm wearing this Breitling today". I'm in my mid 30s now and still scared of the old folks! |

sonyman wrote: Try to get another to replace it I've tried... It's not an easy watch to find at a reasonable price. It's an Omega DeVille 4500.31 and to be honest, I probably would never wear it since I pretty much only wear 24hr watches now. So if I can score a second hand one for <$600, I'd do it but I don't want to shell out $1200 for a new one that I wouldn't wear. I also hold out hope that it'll turn up in one of the boxes that we still have to unpack... highly unlikely though. |

When I turned 21, my buddies bought me 21 shots and I woke up the next morning on some random beach. Would have preferred a Breitling! |
