Funny thing, after having this watch for more than 10 years, I just learned two new things about it: 1) from the Gallery forum: there is a small "B" on the side of the bezel at the 57 min mark 2) the dial reads: "SuperOcean Automatic 1000M/3300FT the back reads: "Manufacture En Suisse COLT SuperOcean" It also does not say "Chronometre Certife" as does my Steelfish. Was it not COSC certified at that time? I had no idea all these years that in 1997, the SuperOcean was actually a Colt model. Just for interest sake, I am going to look for the old manual and papers that came with it, I hope that I still have them. I am so glad that I kept this watch when I got my Steelfish, instead of trading it. It still seems like an old friend. It now sports a Diver Pro strap, instead of the original PRO I strap which finally gave out. I also noticed that although the crown on the Steelfish is a lot bigger, the one on the SuperOcean is a lot easier to grip. Cheers, Carl |

Yes that's right Carl. Breitling only started making their entire range COSC certified in the last few years. Back in the late 90's (and prior obviously) very few were chronometer rated. |
