Post subject:  screws for Professional Bracelet Links

Hi

Just received my first Ling and its beautifull.

Its a SuperOcean (2005) on a Professional bracelet (first version not a Pro 2) with all the warranty, manual, COSC, Box etc.

It also came with a lovely Beaverbooks pouch with the two removed links from the bracelet.
Sadly the muppets at Beaverbrooks did not re-assemble the two links before tucking them away and as received the links are all there disasembled together with two screws rather than the four they will have removed!

Now having refitted the one link I had the screws for it still slightly tight on my wrist and I think I need to add the last original link to make it perfect.

Any idea's on where I can get 2 No original Breitling Professional Bracelet screws?
Preferably in a hurry, obviously I don't need whole links just the 2 No Screws.

Is someone (e.g. and AD) likely to have these lying around or should I contact Bretling UK?

Thanks for your advice.

That's one for your AD to sort out. It's unlikely they'll have any lying about, but they will be able to get them for you from BUK.

Would it be better to go to breitling UK and cut out the AD? or will Breitling UK only talk to you if you are spending vast amounts of money on a service?

Cheers,

Cheers,

You certainly could try BUK direct. They are very nice people to speak to and deal with. (Far better than a couple of other watch brands I've dealt with incidentally).

Just as an aside, you will probably have to pay for them as there's no way of proving that the AD didn't put them in the box. I can imagine steel ones will cost too much, but I remember reading on here once that a titanium bezel screw (which is about the same size as a bracelet screw) cost one of the guys £30 GBP!

Ouch,

Glad the straps not Ti now!

I can almost guarantee the AD (Beaverbrooks) did put the link screw in the small Beaverbrooks paper wallet that the links were in as two of the screws were there our of the 4 their should have been.

The AD was obviously too lazy to re-assemble the removed links first though which is why some of the screws have gone walkies.

Given the bonus with my watch was to find it was fully overhauled just 2 years ago I think I can live with buying a couple of link screws, just don't want to waste money buying a whole link when I just need the 2 tiny screws.

Cheers,

Just for Ref a new replacement caseback was £30 from BUK last year so screws shouldnt be too much.

BUK have been in touch and they are helpfully un-helpful

The screws are 99p + VAT each.
Unfortunately Breitling UK company poilcy forbids them sending them to me and suggest I visit an AD twice, once to order the damn things and once more to fit the link or post the watch to BUK where they will be happy to fit the link and the 2 screws I need for only £34!!!

DOH

Anyone got two Professional (Pro 1) Bracelet screws they want to sell? or even a whole link for a resonable cost?

Cheers,
