jonathancooke appears to have been incorrectly given the paperwork for a Breitling Seawolf (serial 1102001) by his jeweller. Instead of returning them, he has "kindly" decided to advertise them on eBay, in the hope that the watch owner will see them

If he ask for 'proof' that the 'real' owner comes, its nice.

A daring move none-the-less.

Nice front for the auction. Wouldnt the obvious move if he wanted it to get to the real owner be to send it back to the dealer?

Hi Guys,

See you picked up my auction page. It was a bit of a mix up indeed. I bought the Seawolf via Ebay UK and was suprised to see the paperwork didn't match the watch. To be fair it was a bit of a shock to the seller as well as she had never really looked at it closely(honestly). I rang Breitling UK to see if either serial numbers had been reported stolen. Luckily they hadn't so i sent the Seawolf to Breitling UK for verification and a new certificate. So my Seawolf has now been returnd with the correct paperwork.

So do i destroy the paper work or at least try and see if anyone out their has the matching watch. I've had plenty of interest from Portugal and Spain but know one has the correct watch yet.

I'll be stopping the auction before the end and destroying the paperwork if no one comes forward. As i'd hate anyone to get conned. Guess i should have made that clearer on ebay.

Prehaps someone will spot this discussion. Just to recap its E17370 serial number 1102001 date of purchase 06/12/2008.

I would contact the AD from the warranty booklet - they had the watch originally.
