So I went to the AD store after my daily visit to the gym since I am still waiting for my chronolog 08 from breitling. Anyhow I just went in myself to an AD and picked up the log.

I have to say that the limited edition breitling avenger skyland w/ blacksteel is bad @$$!!!

From what I was told and heard though these babies are all sold out :(

I have posted a link for reference! Has like a military look which I sort of like. What do you guys think? It is limited to 2,000 pieces. ENJOY!

There is one for sale in the buy/sell/trade section of this forum if you're really interested in picking one up.

There is also one in the window at La Swiss in Vancouver, at least there was last weekend. I think that is the second one I have seen there, unless the one I was weeks ago did not sell. I suppose it's a good investment, as far a having a limited edition goes, but I really don't find it that appealing. I find just about every Breitling is suitable for any occasion - except that one. It was actually in the dealers also where I got my Steelfish at the same time, I made a choice between the Steelfish or the Blackbird. I certainly could have had the Limited Edition, and normally would have jumped at the chance to own a Limited Edition, but that just has no appeal to me at all. I would far rather have the regular Skyland with the slate grey dial. Anyway, all a matter of personal taste. Even my AD did not seem to be enthusiastic about it, and certainly could give no guarantees as to the nature of the metal or how it would wear. For a Limited Edition, there seems to be an unusual high availability for something only limited to 2000. Anyway, it is still a Breitling, and I really don't think you could go wrong if that is the watch you want. Happy hunting!
Cheers,
Carl

Carl,

Thanks for the reply. MY thoughts exactly. If I cant find the blacksteel for a "reasonable" price I am going ot resort to the black faced skyland with the leather band.

I figured I would get away from the "leather band/steel" look and go with the tread...also the fact that it was limited caught my attention even more however true with what you said. It seems like quite a few Ads still have this watch available. I guess it is one of those hate it or love it type motifs. Thanks for the reply!

Regards,

KW

You're welcome. Make sure you look at the Skyland with the steel bracelet too. My Steelfish ( also with black dial ) has the 22mm PRO II, and it is an awesome bracelet. I really do like the Skyland, and it sounds like a great choice!

Cheers,
Carl

Carl,

Yup. The skyland is one of my favs also. I am going to order my evo probably sometime next month and then follow up with an elegant IWC for evening wear.
