Post subject: | Bergeon Spring-bar removal tool - which one? |
Hi, I am new to the forum having recently purchased my first Breitling watch - Skyracer. The watch is on a metal bracelet, but I have ordered a leather strap so I will need a spring-bar removal tool to change the straps. I have read other posts saying good things about the Bergeon make, but I am not sure which model # to buy: 6767-s (standard) or the 6767-f (fine) ? Can anyone please advise which would be best? Many Thanks! |

Hi sparki. Welcome to the site. The Bergeon Spring Bar Tool 6767-F is what you'll need to do the job. |

If you haven't made the change before then I would caution care as it's very easy to scratch your lugs when changing between bracelet and strap, which then requires a bit of work with a cape cod ![]() Congratulations on the skyracer, one of my favourites. |

I always put a piece of clear scotch tape over the area on which I'll be using a screwdriver or springbar tool. That way, if I slip, it decreases the problem of scratching. It also helps a bit to keep screws from going rogue, since I pop the screwhead through the tape, and it sort of holds it... Hard to explain that part, anyway, good luck! And good on you for getting the right tool for the job. -Dan |
