For those who have the breitling for bentley watches, does it bother you that these watches don't have "swiss made" written on the dials?? I always wondered whether the "swiss made" make any difference if the watch was made in swiss or from another country. |

A number of models haven't had Swiss Made in the past, although it seems to be coming back, possibly because of the persistent (and completely untrue) rumour that it doesn't say Swiss Made because they aren't made in Switzerland. There are in fact a number of lesser brands that have Swiss Made on them that are not truly 100% Swiss. The Swiss Made claim requires: The movement is Swiss The casing happens in Switzerland The final inspection is in Switzerland However....... A movement is considered Swiss if: It is assembled in Switzerland It is inspected in Switzerland Greater than 50% of the parts by value are Swiss Made |

[/quote] Design choice, nothing more sinister than that. Porsche's don't say Made in Germany on the back either ![]() My subaru says made in indiana ![]() Thank goodness its just a choice. You would think that it would be a number one tip off for fakes. Knowing which ones have the swiss made and which ones dont. BTW half of the fun for me, and owning a Breitling is the fake section. I just love that. Too bad its not like prostitution and how the law goes after the buyers and not the sellers, but i guess you cant stop a free market. How do i get one of those cool "member" bannors? |

I have a BREITLING with the number E56121 with an odd symbol that looks like a leaning A after it. Is any definite sign to look for to tell if this is a authentic BREITLING? I am not familiar with these watches. Thanks in advance. |

And if you don't know much about the watch then don't play with the tube thing at the bottom of the case, in a real Emergency it's a transmitter that will have helicopters circling you. |

My Breitling also has a leaning A symbol, but says "made in China" - is that a problem? ![]() |
