I bought a Superocean on ebay about three months ago and checked it against all the known criteria for fakes/replicas. It stood up against all of them except it has a matte gray/black tip on the second hand. It came with the original box, booklets and warranty card, including the name and location of the legitimate store where it was sold. My question is this: Has anyone ever heard of a Superocean with a second hand that wasn't red? The service center in Connecticut says they have never heard of one. This particular watch was date etched on the watch and the bracelet as having been produced in October of 2003. :shock:

Sorry, no I've not seen that before and I've owned a Superocean of a silimiar age in the past myself.

Thank you for your inquiry. I have spoken with our technical staff and they have advised me that at one point we did make the second hand with the black tip. They have advised me that it was a long time ago and I don’t believe that those hands are still being made. I hope that has helped you.
