Chrono Evo.

While I actually prefer the blanced 3,6,9 subdial layout on the Blackbird, I'm not a big fan of that date window. On the Blackbird, that's the first thing I see when I look at it. It takes me a while to even notice it's a chrono, because that split date window is distracting to me, and because the sub dials blend in, of course.

When I look at te Evo, my eyes are naturally drawn around the dial, from one sub dial to the next, with nothing on the dial getting any more attention than anything else. I also prefer a bit of contrast on the subdials.

As always, that's just my opinion, and there's no way you could go wrong with either. They both look great in black.

Chronomat Evo for me too. I always absolutely loved the Blackbird in the catalogue, but when I tried it on I was disappointed - it just seemed to look really anonymous on my wrist. Don't get me wrong, they are both great watches, but the Chronomat looks more "special" to me... especially on the wrist.

The Chrono Evo is polished, the Blackbird is brushed.

Both are great looking pieces, but the brushed Blackbird would be easier to care for.

Flip a coin, best two outta three.

I say Evo, for the same reasons as MoreCowbell. The date display of the Blackbird isn't a great success IMO, while the Evo is much nicer to look at.

Brian,

I thought I had you on the right track. Brushed Lings are DEGRADED Lings.

Close call, but its the Blackbird for me. The two tone finish is beautiful, the best of both worlds. The bracelet has a more aggressive slant to it, having the angular chamfered links. I like the date being top dead centre, and the three dials balanced symmetrically below. The whole feel is sharper edged than the Evo. I'd have been happy with the Evo, but the Blackbird is a step above IMO.

Thanks fellas for the helpful information. I was sort of thinking the same how the date in the middle of the blackbird does attract more attention and moves the eys away from the dials, although its a nice watch I was leaning more towards the evo. This just confirms it now. Thanks again!

I thought it was degraded anyway since neither are FULL LINGS.

Personally, I think they both look the same.
