Well the Crosswind Special was made between 2000 and 2004, but the way to potentially accurately date that watch is to remove the strap from the “6” end of the case. Between the lugs you may find 4 numbers - for example 3202. In that example the 32 indicates the 32nd week of the year, and the 02 would be for 2002. So that would show the watch was made in the 32nd week of 2002.
However this date coding was only brought in in the early 2000’s, so only works for watches made since then. As I say, your Crosswind Special will have been made around that cross-over point so it may not actually have the date coding - hence why I said you “may” find 4 numbers between the lugs. The only way to know is to remove the strap and see.
If the dating coding isn't there then you will be out of luck determining it's exact age.
